Stefanos Antaris currently works as an early stage researcher under Marie Curie iSocial ITN scheme at University of Cyprus. He holds a MSc degree in Informatics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki where he gained specific and specialized knowledge in analyzing, designing and developing high-quality software. During his Master studies, he worked as a researcher and main developer in a European FP7 project "Venus-C" where a social media trend detection service has been analyzed and developed using the Windows Azure Cloud Computing Platform. As a BSc student he has researched on recommendation systems in several business/enterprise domains. His primary research interest and experience gained places emphasis in the context of Big Data Analysis especially in Social Network Analytics under the in-memory cloud computing perspective.
My primary research interests are focused mostly on Big Data Analysis application, including data mining and machine learning approaches. These approaches aim on industrial assistance to better explore their market and to better align their goals to gain advantage over competition.
